WALKING WORTHY TOGETHER

It is easy to talk about Christian unity until someone tests our patience. A difficult conversation, a misunderstood comment, a different preference, or an unresolved hurt can quickly reveal how hard it is to walk together in love. We may want unity, but we often want it without humility, gentleness, or patience. Paul reminds us that our conduct should match our calling. We have been called by grace into Christ and into his body. That means the way we treat others is not a small matter. The gospel that reconciled us to God should also shape how we live with one another. A worthy walk is not loud pride, quick anger, or stubborn self-defense. It is humility that lowers itself, gentleness that refuses harshness, patience that does not give up quickly, and love that keeps bearing with others. Unity is not something we create from nothing. Paul calls it the unity of the Spirit. God has already brought his people together in Christ. Our calling is to maintain it, guard it, and make every effort to protect what the Spirit has given. Love takes effort. Unity is a gift we must learn to handle carefully. So today, walk worthy in the ordinary places. Choose the softer answer. Make the first move. Refuse gossip. Be patient with weakness. Bear with someone in love. The church becomes a living witness when believers show the world that grace has changed not only what we believe, but how we treat one another.
