Reflect & Apply
- Do you feel small or forgotten? How does this psalm speak to that place?
- What does it mean to you that God's steadfast love is for all nations, including you?
- Is there anyone who needs to hear about God's enduring love this week?
Today’s Word
There are days when you feel small. The world is loud and divided, and you wonder if anyone sees you, if God's love really reaches someone like you. The shortest psalm in the Bible answers that question in just two verses. It is a global invitation: praise the Lord, all nations. Not just the strong. Not just the faithful. Everyone.
No one is outside the reach of his love. That means you are not outside it either. You are invited in.
And why should we praise him? Not because of what we have done, but because of who he is. Great is his steadfast love toward us. That word steadfast means it does not waver. It is not dependent on your best day or ruined by your worst. That love is not a mood that shifts with your performance. God is faithful, and that faithfulness has no expiration date.
Here is the hope: you do not have to earn your place in the kingdom. You are already invited. The call to praise is not a demand to pretend everything is fine; it is an invitation to remember who holds you.
When you praise God, you are not ignoring your pain. You are lifting your eyes above it. Praise is the sound of a heart that has remembered God's faithfulness. So today, join the nations in praise because his love is great and his faithfulness never ends. That is worth singing about.
Prayer
Father, thank you that your love is steadfast and your faithfulness never ends. When we feel small or forgotten, remind us that we are invited into your presence and welcomed with open arms. Help us to lift our voices in praise, not because life is easy, but because you are good. In Jesus' name, Amen.
