THE BREAD THAT SATISFIES

We spend so much energy chasing satisfaction, don't we? We hunger for success, thirst for approval, crave comfort, and consume everything we think will fill the void. But the hunger returns. The thirst remains. We eat and drink, and we are still empty. The people who followed Jesus had seen miracles, eaten bread, and witnessed his power. But they came looking for more food, not more of him. We often do the same. But Jesus makes a staggering claim: "I am the bread of life." Not just a teacher of truth, not just a provider of needs. The bread itself. The satisfaction of every hunger. The quenching of every thirst. He does not merely give you life; he is your life. And the invitation is breathtakingly simple: Come. Believe. The soul that feeds on Christ finds its deepest longing met. Jesus promises: "Whoever comes to me I will never cast out." Not "if you are good enough." Not "if you have cleaned up your act." Just come. The Father has given you to the Son, and the Son receives you with open arms. There is no rejection in him. No shame. If you come, he welcomes. And he promises not to cast you out. Your acceptance is not based on your worthiness but on his welcome. This gives us hope because Jesus came to do the Father’s will, and he did not fail in his mission. Your salvation is not resting on your ability but on the faithfulness of the Son who came to save. So bring him your hunger today. Stop feeding your soul with what cannot last. Come to Christ again. He is enough, and he will not cast you out.
